Thank you for placing your confidence in my abilities to lead the Chamber this year. It is indeed a very proud moment for me to be chosen to lead the chamber in the year 2021-2022.

Before sharing information about main objectives for the year, I wish to extend my gratitude to outgoing President Shri Kamleish Dhoot and his team. Under his leadership, the chamber addressed many social and industrial issues and has embarked on an economic growth initiative that will help to set this year’s advocacy agenda.

However, the focus for year 2021-2022 has to be to keep the industry running amid all the chaos and anxiety caused by the pandemic. As a Chamber we are here to support the membership with all that it requires to stay afloat. With this support to industry, we are protecting the interests of the lakhs of employees associated with them and also the overall economy of Aurangabad.

CMIA is actively working in the area of Apprentice Training, Skill Development, Cluster Development, Innovation and Entrepreneurship through its very active cells in these domains. We also have an active Energy Cell to take up all issues pertaining to Energy sector and organize Energy Conclave every year.

This year we plan to develop a 5 year Strategic Plan for CMIA. Some of the major areas we are looking at is improving the Investment Climate of the region. We would work towards helping MSMEs in getting funding at reasonable cost. For growth of industries in Marathwada, we intend to further strengthen the inter Chamber relationship locally, nationally as well as internationally. A CEO Conference, an Agro Conference and an international delegation is planned for this year. Our members interested in any of these initiatives and willing to contribute in terms of time and suggestions are welcome to get involved and join the respective task force. We are always open to Member’s suggestions and welcome their active involvement in the activities of CMIA.

We have an able and well-equipped secretariat for providing all back office support and for ensuring that the initiatives taken up of one president sees continuity even after his tenure has ended. Thus, the change in leadership at the top would not impact the long term goals of the organization.

I am privileged to have a young and dynamic team of committed individuals who would help me in taking this organization to greater heights.
