Thank you for placing your confidence in my abilities to lead the Chamber this year.
Before sharing information about main objectives for the year, I wish to extend our gratitude to outgoing President Ashish Garde and his team. Ashish is a person of few words, yet the he demonstrated to the chamber that he is prepared to stand up for the chamber on issues that matter to the membership. Under his leadership, the chamber.
Addressed many issues and has embarked on an economic growth initiative that will help to set this year’s advocacy agenda.
Ashish, talking about the focus for year 2016-17, three driving principles of the. Chamber will be to support, promote and protect interests of members to fulfill its mission.
50 years and Generation Next –
It is a proud moment to the lead the chamber in its 49th year of establishment and that’s why I have decided to call the team this year as “Team 49”. The chamber has come a long way.
People involvement is the key to any organization’s success. The chamber needs more hands on deck to address the issues that matter in the areas of business promotion, public policy, jobs creation education economic growth and workforce development.
Each member is urged to get involved in our work by joining a committee or task force if we are to create our region a better place for the generation, we must all commit to the task.
Strengthening the existing Cluster / Cells for its true potential -
The pace of our region and the business community has quickened, and we now take many things for granted. As we all know, business never rests. Innovation, adaptability and new product development have kept Aurangabad and Marathwada attractive, not only to our local people, but international investors and visitors.
Through these principles we will ensure that our Innovation, Energy, Electronics and the new cell- Business Development support and work very closely with the members.
Aurangabad/Marathwada is an ideal place to do business, but in recent years, there has been increasing competition and some of our main business areas are under increasing threat. We need to promote that we are open for business should set up and expand in this region. We plan to build a task force in this area and requested interested members to get involved and join it.
Strengthening and Entrenching Culture of Succession Planning at the Secretariat -
Our efforts of strengthening the secretariat are on for some years and this will be continued ensuring that we well equipped Secretariat and it won’t forestall any vacuum.
